Zeldatama: a hack or set of alternate rules and expansions to the Ryuutama core rule set.

All homebrew content assumes you own a copy of Ryuutama, and will not replicate information found within the book. When core rules are altered or expanded upon, page numbers will be given and instructions for where to edit or add information on that page. These page numbers are from the English translation, specifically the Digital 1.0 pdf.

If you are interested, you can read more about Ryuutama and how to obtain your own copy of the system at Kodotama Heavy Industries’s Ryuutama site.

A special thanks to the folks on the Kodotama Heavy Industries Discord for helping to brainstorm and troubleshoot Zeldatama!

Health and Damage

Rules for using heart-based health and static damage, to make Ryuutama feel more like The Legend of Zelda. This includes alternate rules for leveling up and healing to accommodate the change from an HP-based  health system.

Combat

Alternate combat rules for more dynamic combat, using a full battlefield and movement.

Races

The Legend of Zelda series provides a lot of inspiration in terms of races for player characters and NPCs alike.

This section contains races designed for use with the character creation options described in the Alternate Rules and Flavor section.

Classes

The classes available in Ryuutama cover much of what someone who is not a Hero or Princess might do in Hyrule, but there are a few that your players might want to choose from. This section details those Classes, which are designed so they can be incorporated in any Ryuutama setting–though you might want to rename them to fit your world!

Ryuujin Rules

It isn’t Ryuutama without a Ryuujin, after all. Here are some ideas for using this concept in the Legend of Zelda setting.
